Plans and billing
Pay per editor, by card, through Razorpay. Readers are always free.
Plans
Every workspace starts on Free: 3 editors, 25 decisions and 10 AI reviews a month. Team is $12 per editor per month with unlimited decisions and 100 AI reviews. Business is $29 per editor per month with a 10-seat minimum, 500 AI reviews and the governance features. The pricing page has the full comparison.
Who counts as an editor
Owners, admins and members are editors. Viewers can read and comment and are never billed. Your seat count follows the member list: inviting an editor adds a seat at once and Razorpay bills the difference for the rest of the period; removing one, or making them a viewer, drops the seat from the next renewal. While a payment is being retried, seat changes wait until the subscription is active again.
Upgrading
The workspace owner opens Settings → Plan and picks Upgrade to Team or Upgrade to Business. Razorpay's checkout opens on the page; DesignDoc never sees your card. Once Razorpay confirms the first charge, which usually takes under a minute, the workspace moves to the new plan and the limits lift. Admins and members cannot change billing.
Invoices and receipts
Razorpay emails a receipt for every charge to the address given at checkout. The Plan page lists the recent billing activity for the workspace (payments, retries, cancellation).
Failed payments
If a renewal fails, Razorpay retries over the following days and emails a link to update the card. The Plan page shows a Payment failed notice with the date the plan ends: 7 days after the end of the last paid period. A payment within that time keeps everything as it was. Otherwise DesignDoc cancels the subscription and the workspace drops to Free; nothing is deleted, but new editors and decisions over the Free limits wait until you upgrade again.
Cancelling
The owner cancels from the Plan page. Renewals stop at the end of the current billing period and the workspace keeps its plan until then, after which it returns to Free. Upgrading again starts a new subscription.
